[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's hot here in Texas, grass is dying, temps are rising. Saturday was 98F, Sunday 99% Tomorrow prediction as 100F. In order to survive down here everyone needs AC...and some don't have it. This was taken in my mother's garden after I got out there and watered at 2PM in the heat... Mom and Dad have no business doing it! In the background is mother's Plumbago.
Have a great day!
B-)
Linda

Hello Linda,
The details on the water drop are amazing. The DoF is also very nice.

What are the white stuff on the plant?

Cheers,

Wellington

Hi Linda

A superb macro zoom shot, with excellent use of a shallow dof, & splendid bg bokeh. Good sharpness & colour contrasts between the blue & yellow green. Tfs!

Hi Linda,

We have the same thing going here in St. Louis, probably the same amount of humidity, too. It's good for the tomatoes! Even I have now cranked on the AC in my car and truck - starting yesterday.

I know that droplet evaporated almost immediately so you had to be really quick to get this shot off!

Great dof and sharpness of the subject, nice POV.

Stay cool!

Hey, what the heck is a plumbago?

Thanks,

Reed

Awesome shot Linda. Here you are praying for rain, and here I am praying for sun - how ironic, haha. Nicely captured water droplet, the focus is spot-on with this photo. Well composed too.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Linda,

This is a cool shot. Very neat how you have isolated the drop. I like the soft background and the sharpness of the plant.

We had a storm here today complete with a little hail too!! It's been dreadful, but I was thankful to be in the pocket where there was rain. :) Lisa

Dear Linda!
Never, ever I'll have enough time? - oh well to many things to do... and so many pictures that I like to respond in your gallery.
This one, together with title is just really impressive.
I like it so much your imagination here, what is well presented - what I mean it is drop of water look like in the mouth of thirsty creature. Leafs are so soft and look elegant as well as BG very... OK I have to say romantic.
According to honesty in notes... there is one fragment of the leaf in central-upper part of photo - I would stamp this out, it doesn't match for this lovely picture.
Aha - one more thing... light - it is perfectly balanced, congratulations friend:)
Best greetings from French part of Canada from me and Barbara:):):)

hi linda,
we could send you some rain from here, if you want?

nice macro shot,
the bokeh is good as it gives the water drop center stage in the frame.

send us some sunshine.
hugs,
Brian
