[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
First of all, I must say I don't like posed pictures much. However, on occasion I know I have to also enter this into my work, because the day will come, a wedding, an event that warrants it. So I try to keep it as natural as I can. I usually click the shutter before they are ready....before the time that the smile sets, and the stale look begins.
I took this with my Mamiya, just as an experiment. I used Kodak C-41 process black and white film. I love the tones this film gives. This was taken in my garden. This is Dave's first wife's sister and her new boyfriend.
Hope you all have a great day!
B-)

Hi Linda

A nice b&w dual portrait, with good dof, sharpness and tonal range. Well managed exposure on the highlights, with no appreciable oe. Tfs!

Hi Linda..nice black and white portrait...great depth of field with nice expressions on both of the subjects...

Hi Linda,

Very nice B&W portrait of this couple. Good thinking to click before they are fully posed, I'll have to remember that trick. Nice eye contact and perfect DOF.

Regards,
Werner

Hello Linda,
I can understand that you don't like posed pictures, however here I don't feel a «pose» but a wonderful capture of radiant happiness; and how it shines in the faces expression.
Superb light and sharpness, and a wonderful and elegant b/w presentation. Great work.
My compliments, José mb

It's great seeing these portraits by you. This couple are so relaxed, very natural and beautiful smiles. I love the sepia tones and the lighting and detail are excellent. TFS

Hi, Linda -
You really show your versatility here - this is a really warm and natural posed shot. Their expressions look genuine. The film really does provide nice tones. Sharp details, perfectly exposed. Well done.
