[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another case of shooting on the fly, from a moving car, (someone else driving!) of our Houston Ship Channel. On the left hand side, the monument showing over the green ship is the San Jacinto Monument. On the horizon is our refinery complex, athough a very small part of it, the east side is an ugly place to be when the air is stagnant.

What caught my eye was the tremendous thunderhead that followed us as we returned from the beach a few weeks back. Today, we MAY get some rain, I am hoping. This weekend was a fire-disaster here with all the fireworks, high winds and drought conditions.
Hope you all had a marvelous weekend. I was off three days...and I need three more days to recover!
B-)
Linda

Hi Linda,

Do I see a "weather" photography book in your future? You have some really neat cloud formation and weather photos in your gallery. I like the lighting on this and how the green is really illuminated. Nice bits of red in the photo give interesting bits of color to grab my attention as I view the photo. Of course, the cloud itself is interesting in it's own right.

Enjoy your Monday! :) Lisa

Good Morning Linda,

Nice colors and great sky - you got it pretty darn sharp for moving along in a car. Great to hear you weren't driving! I see people texting, gabbing on their phones, putting on make-up but never have I seen someone trying to compose a shot in their DSLR while going down the highway, but I guess there is always a first for everything...

Here's wishing you some rain. I would have happily given you some of ours on Saturday.

Have a great week!
Reed

Hi Linda

A familiar sight in South East Qld in summer. Hope it doesnt spawn any torndoes. Good lighting & colour contrasts with superb sharpness & framing. Tfs!

Hi, Linda,
amazing shot from a moving car. The lighting is wonderful and I love the clear, bright color where the sunlight is catching the tankers and stuff. That's a really neat looking sky, too. From what I've seen on the weather channel, there's places in TX that could do with some rain storms. Hope you had a great 4th! Many thanks and warmest wishes,
SHelly

Hello Linda,
Simply wonderful this dramatic sky over a fantastic panoramic, very sharp, with a great dramatic light very well contrasted in the dark tones, with a lot of detail calling our attention. Another wonderful photo «master Linda». I wish you the best of life. Sincerely, José mb
