[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Its been a while since I was on TL but its nice to be back. This is an old photo of mine but I recently updated it with some new software. I used a Nik software digital filters. Here I used the Grad ND filter.

What you see here is a typical spring duststorm.

Hi Mel,

Great photo. I love the smooth, salmon colors and how the track disapear into the dust. The tumbleweed is a bonus!
I love Nik software. I have the Nik color Efex pro 2.0. It is truly amazing what it can do. I now only shoot with protective filters and a polarizer. The rest is done on my PC, better than having 75 filters in my bag.

Great work,

Darren

Yeah I saw duststorms in Texas and they look scary. Almost like having a blizzard of dust. Nice colours and perspective with the rail line leading the eyes deep into the image. The view is limited due to the storm but the idea of what this place may look like is there. Good to see you here Mel. I started in TL not long ago. Cheers :-)

Hi Mel,
This is a great shot of railway tracks, one of my favourite subjects to photograph. Excellent colours and sharpness.

Oh do I remember dust storms well...we had a particularly nasty one here in Houston about 25 years ago. It's rare here! Nice shot here Mel! I love West Texas! It's a beautiful but harsh place....let me tell you about the rattlesnakes I've almost stepped on and almost getting whacked in the face with a snake and his rat dinner, while riding a horse...yeehhaww...that's Texas!
