[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Musca Domestica, also known as the common housefly. These little guys were all around this morning, so I decided to try and capture some macros of them. I finally picked this one because of the well defined shadow of the fly.

Post-processed in PSP 8.0: color balance, fade correction, clarify, adjusted Saturation and Hue, USM, and added a frame.

Muito boa macro

A horrible insect but a great macro shot!
The shadow is great and so is the textured surface.
Very well done!

That is amazing ... even the tiniest detail of the table surface is captured so well ... and as you said, the shadow is very well defined. Good post processing too!

Really really great Stephen. You are right about the shadow. It is really nice and well defined. I like the structure of whatever it is standing on, as well as the colour of it. Very nice :)

I never thought I'd associate the word "elegant" with a shot of a housefly, but it's exactly what comes to my mind when I look at the way you present it here, Stephen. Great detail in the insect, and the shadow is indeed wonderful, too. Excellent PP as usual. Very well done.

Very nice macro Stephen, I like the shadow and the texture of the surface that the fly is standing on.
