This swarm of bees seems to return every year to the same tree in our yard. They are very calm and not agressive. I was able to stand on a chair and get this shot of them. I like the transparency of the wings on the bee in front and how you can see his stripes through the wings. :-)

Great macro work Stephen. Love the different textures displayed here especially the bark of the tree. Your composition is spot on and so is your exposure. Great capture. Well done.

What a great photo Stephen!! The quality of the image is fantastic, all the textures so well exposed to our eyes! Amazing work indeed. It's such a beautiful macro. It would go into my favorites if only I could had more photos, I didn't know there was a limit to that :-(

What a busy tree Stephen. Very good shots of the bees showing their hairs, and patterns and colours. Very well done.
