I love

Many many moons have I felt as I’ve stood here.
Anchored in to the place of my birth I stretch and reach to know her shape as she passes overhead. I miss her intently when she disappears.

Many many suns have blessed me in my urge to be.
Tingling my tiniest bits into activity he provides so very abundantly .
Never once has he forgotten to caress me.

I make myself with their love.
He fires me up. She cools me down.

I grow and grow and have all sorts of wonderous beings staying with me, sheltering in me.

I love.

Tomorrow the two legged creatures are coming for me. I will breathe no more.

How can I apologise to the life I am? To the life I harbour?

I’m sorry little spider.
I’m sorry mother opossum you can’t teach your little ones to jump and fly in my branches any more. I’m sorry magpies you’ll have to find somewhere else to gather and celebrate.

I’m sorry.

I can’t shelter any of you any more.
I can’t freshen the air you breathe.

I can’t love.

I am to be slaughtered and chipped by screaming machines.

God/dess help me.

~ she

I couldn't find any information about the author of the above poem, so I hope it's ok to post it here. This photo was originally (Click here) just a photo of the roots of a tree. I experimented with some drastic Post-processing (PSP 8.0 - fade correction, clarify, hue/sat adjust, reflecting mirror, NeatImage, optikVerve Labs Virtual Photographer plugin, Sunburst, and added frame

This is pshycadelic Stephen and a bit like a fantasy thing. I can't decide if it is scary or hopeful. The burst of light is kind of hopefull but then on the other hand it looks a bit like a monster with tentcals too...i have a very vivid imagination so...if only you could see the monster i'm, picturing in my head hehe. This is great, and as you say drastic, pp. I great abstract picture.

Great note and excellent visualization. This is definitely an amazing image, that leaves no one indifferent. Very creative work indeed.
Well done. The pp work is truly special.

hi Stephen,
the poem/note is really touching and your pp work is superb! You created something completly different from the original.. in a very dreamy and mystic way.
I like very much the concept of that motuh/heart/openeing in the tree, and you did it in a 3D way!
Congrats!!
Marisa
