[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is our first rose of the Spring. I believe this type of rose is called "Rosa Golden". I made two copies of the image, made one grayscale and darkened, copied it over the color photo on a new layer, used the eraser tool to expose the flower, applied the "Flood" filter to create the reflection, and added a frame with a touch of color borrowed from the flower.

Hello Sthepen.

Beautiful rose, I remember that many years ago, cultivate in my garden a similar rose, and my aunt grandmother told me that they also called him "fortune", with the time and my activities the rosebush got lost and I could not conserve this type of roses, from then on, I had not seen pink this way until today's day that you have presented it as golden rose", it is particular the yellow tone and the size of the rose, as well as the opening of its petals, very characteristic of the spring.

Great shot, I like the effect of the illumination and the created reflection, I prefer this to the drops of water on the petals. I will allow myself to add it to the theme that I have created on the Roses. Greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Stephen, I'm not too much of a flower guy but your photo gives even a "rough & tumble" guy an appreciation for flower pictures. It is gorgeous! Thanks for posting it and God's best to you, Tim

Magnificent picture. The post precessing is done with a lot of feeling, producing a very tender result. Thanks for sharing.

Beautifull picture Stephen and very nice post process too. Desaturating the background works well in this picture as well as teh flood filter. Good choise. The yellow colour is very nice and so is the structure of the petals.

très jolie composition, l'effet de reflection est superbe!

Beautiful job,I think the use of the flood filter was a great idea.

Again, a great PP, Stephen, and a very very nice result. Colors, sharpness, reflections, frame, are all great. And composition is excellent.

I always like your macros, as it seems you have a sharp eye for the details. Here you not only you captured very well the beauty of the rose, but also turned it into a piece of art. Wonderful!

Lovely macro Stephen, excellent detail, with stunning yellow colour on dark background works very well. Once again your PP is very precise and detailed, I like it, good work. BTW, what reflection filter are you using?
::M::

I must say I absolutely don't like reflection effects, but the rose is just wonderful! The soft focus is very attractive, I wish I could see this flower just as you discovered it... :o)
But great work anyway Stephen!

Thankyou for the wonderful description of how you created this beautiful masterpiece!
