As much as I love Superfly's pose ;P and the composition of the shot, I find that using flash really takes away from a photo: it tends to wash out color, it mutes out tonalities as well as details and form, and it also can make the background too dark while the foreground is too bright. In this case the background is not too dark as it is not too deep in. I would also recommend leaving more negative space at the top since the pointy ears lead the eye up the shot, but the viewer's eyes have nowhere to rest or look at the top. And I am surprised there are dust and scratches in a digital SLR shot, maybe you need to clean the mirror or maybe even the sensor (filter) of the camera. Great idea though and lovely model ;). TFS!
