I went over to a local church (after having asked the pastor, natch) and took some photos of the building. I really do like the mid-century architecture. I find the angles that slice up the building intriguing.
After capturing this image, I adjusted exposure, contrast, and saturation in Bridge. I then went into Photoshop, cloned out some roof vents and dust specks (but left the bird in), resized, and saved for the web.

(The next day, on my morning commute, the sky was just perfect. We were right in between showers, the clouds had fractured a little, the sky was brilliant blue, and sun rays cascaded through the cloud cover. Unfortunately, I had to go to work and didn’t have time to stop and shoot. Curse that mortgage payment!) |
