[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot on a recent photowalk around the city of Waco.

This is the first time I have ever gotten anything useful out of HDR processing. So far, HDR has completely baffled me.

I assembled this in Photoshop CS2 through the Automate-Merge to HDR command. I still had to go in and manually adjust contrast and mask the lamp post and banner to get them to show up well.

I'm sure I'll try my hand at anther HDR in the future.

Interesting and sort of stark and lonely moment you've caught there. Makes you feel kind of like something from the past.

Keep shootin'

Richard

Scott,

I saw this photo earlier and meant to comment on it but must have forgotten. I love the lonely, sad quality to this photo. Very nostalgic. I like the fact that the lights are on but the streets and sidewalks are completely empty, devoid of life. Good detail on the hippo. I like the crop.

What time of day was this?
