[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on a recent zoo trip with my kids. I was informed by the elder son the day before that we were going to the zoo. I figured I'd take my camera along as I always do.

This bald eagle, like any bald eagle in captivity here in the States, is an injured bird. This enclosure houses two, one with a permanently damaged wing and this one which is missing an eye. I stood outside the enclosure until the bird turned its head in order to hide the missing eye. I could have made a feature out of the injury, but decided to go for a straight-forward "nature" shot instead.

In processing, I added 1 stop exposure, boosted contrast, sharpened, cropped, added a vignette, and exported in Lightroom.
