[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On our photowalk, I found this pair of flowers (I don't know what they are) with a column of evening light shining straight down on them.

I'm surprised they are this sharp since we were experiencing winds of about 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30. I waited ... and waited .... and waited for the wind to die down and then quickly got off a couple shots.

The workshop has another one taken nearby. I can't decide which one I wanted to post as the primary shot.

Awesome detail on the petals, Scott. The blurred flower in the foreground is nice. I like the one you posted as primary. The other one is nice, but doesn't offer enough interest in the rest of the photo to carry it.

Any idea what kind of flower this is? It looks so fragile—like the strong winds you describe would have torn them to shreds. I am constantly reminded of the wonder of intelligent design.
