[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Experimenting with high-key lighting. Most of my floral work has been with a black background, so I thought I'd try white. I had trouble getting the lighting correct so the background didn't bloom into the subject. After some dialing-in, I managed to get this .. and then realize I was on ISO 800 ... several compositions later. Grrr!

Post-processing in Lightroom 2:
* + exposure
* masked out background and overexposed to remove wrinkles
* + clarity, vibrance, saturation
* + contrast
* a small degree of both color and luminance noise reduction - I couldn't do too much without losing detail.
* slap myself in the forehead (again) for forgetting about my ISO settings (again).

Scott,

This is lovely. The lighting is perfect and the detail is good, but not overly sharp. The only thing that bothered me was the white BG.

I workshopped it (don't you love it when I verb nouns?) to show you the powerful difference.
