Again from my model shoot the other day. We had a total of 4 models (2 couples) from which to choose. I never was able to shoot the one girl I knew beforehand, she was monopolized by another photographer. No matter, I had a good time with this couple.
This was captured after I had initially setup the shot. Ashley was sitting on railing in the park while Marc stood in front. After taking a few serious shots, I commented on the vibrantly attired cyclist who had just ridden by. She had barely made it out of frame when my comment generated giggles. Perfect timing.
Notable edits:
* Bumped exposure 1/2 stop
* Pulled in black and white clipping points
* Nudged red saturation |

This is an interesting shot - and a great opportunity to discuss a film/photo "reality" that is well illustrated here.
As natural as your shot is, and as beautiful as their connection and expressions are, there is a sense - to me - that they are too far apart. The gap between them becomes distracting, the eye has to travel too far from one to the other.
In movies, in photography, when actors are face-to-face, they have to get far closer than they would in reality. Closer than the usual comfort zones - closer, even, than their ability to focus properly on each other! It feels weird but it looks right.
Minor details I would change - the bottom of the frame where Marc's arm disappears from view, looking a little stumpy ... and of course bringing Ashley more into the shot, closer to him, would also include the top of her head.
Beautiful light by the way, and great clarity.

For some reason this photo doesn't seem right to me... I have thought about it and I think that it is because the two models don't seem to go together well. Perhaps if we saw a little more of the scene (e.g., the railing Ashley is sitting on) it would be different. Maybe it is the angle at which Ashley is standing over Marc makes it seem like she is a female vampire going in for the strike. I think you have the making of two separate but equally superb profile shots (I will post to workshop).
TFS!

Really nice capture of the two models. They have obviously done this before. Technically I think this is a great shot. My only comment is that the bright spot from the light shining through the tree is dead on the end of the male model's nose and is very distracting... and difficult to avoid when photographing in this ebviron. You might consider cloning it out, and while you are at it, there are a couple wisps of hair on the girl, though not nearly as obvious.
Hi Scott,
I like this one, more then the previous one...)) I like the angle, the pose, exposure seems right, black are a bit low contrast...but that is perfectly acceptable...depend on someone style...it's like exposure...one half stop both ways...don't really matters..)))
But I quite touchy about colors renditions..
have you compare the real colour of their skin with the one shown in the shot...
A little magenta, it could be warm up a little.
Still quite a nice shot.
