Leisure Reading

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I started this shoot on Friday, does that still count?
I thought I'd make an image of my favorite book for the leisure reading theme. I don't get to read nearly as often as I'd like. Well, that's not entirely true. I don't read books that don't involve pictures, heavy cardboard pages, or one syllable words as often as I'd like. I need to make time to read for myself more.

Some people submit photos to the theme early—some late... it's all good. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the turn out. Was everyone on vacation, or did the theme not appeal to them? Ok, now on to the critique:
light: Your use of available light is perfect; no glare, not too much, not too little.
composition: I like how you chose a page where the viewer could read what is going on and it starts well at the top of the page and at a moment ripe with action.
clarity and sharpness: love the sharp detail on the left page and the soft bluron the right. The detail on the left is so great in fact that we can read the backwards letters of the previous page. I can almost discern the grain and weight of the paper stock. :o)
