[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On our impromptu photowalk last weekend we encountered a bunch of people along the river. There was one group of young adults, probably teens, that looked slightly out of place. Dressed in urban style: baggy clothes for the men, tight for the women; hats askew with the brims straight; perma-sneer expressions (boy, do I sound old now), they didn’t really seem like the types to spend the evening fishing along the river banks. But that’s exactly what they were doing. I’m not into fishing, but I don’t begrudge anyone their hobbies and I still think it’s pretty cool to see that many people down along the river at that hour.

Post-Processing:
Not much here. Just a personal preset in LR2 to sharpen and saturate a bit.

Hello, Scott -
Great mood conveyed by this peaceful scene; the soft evening light looks fantastic and sharp on the rippled surface of the water. You're right - it is unusual to see a young person dressed like this but sitting and patiently fishing, and her hat adds an interesting element to the image. Very nice capture.

Scott, don't know how I missed this one, but I really like it.

light: Excellent low-light here which helps the mood of the subject.

composition: I like the curved bank going off into the distance. At first I was going to suggest cropping out some of the foreground, but then I disagreed with myself and the second me was more persuasive than the first. It must be something to do with the nice DOF.

The only thing I might change is to either crop out the leg of the bridge in the BG or include more of the bridge.
