[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While we were just about to wrap up our photo walk the other day, I looked up and saw this amazing color on the Hilton along the Brazos River. I had a hard time deciding what to do with it. The color was great, but the setting left a lot to be desired. There were cars everywhere and the hotel was positioned such that I couldn't use it as a background to any of the sculptures place around the area by the Waco Cultural Arts Fest organizers. What to do?

I decided to go abstract and get a tight shot of just the windows. On retrospect, I should have also shot this at an angle as well, to give a different perspective, but overall I like the image.

Post-processing:
The original shot included a bit of the nice, blue sky, but I ended up cropping that out as I found it very distracting. I also cropped in a little more to get the column of windows and the tree on the right closer to a rule-of-thirds placement. I should have tried some noise reduction, but didn't zoom in tight enough to see the noise until afterward. That says something about the abilities of today's cameras! I finished off by applying my saturation and sharpening preset.
