Lovely tribute for Silke. And you are so right, it is just wonderful to have friends that support you and it turned out that TL is a great place for friendships - let's keep it that way.

The choise for the yellow orange hibiscus (chinese theeroos we also call it) is spot on.

Oh Lord! Linda!!

After all the fun conspiracies you and I have had to try to post next to each other in the gallery, you have gone and conspired behind my back!!

So here I am, completely taken aback by you! AND in tears over your thoughtfulness less than two hours before you yourself go into surgery.

As for the photograph: the colours and details are truly amazing! I love the crystal sharpness of the water drops, and the textures in the hibiscus petals.
The compositions of both this and the workshop photo are superb.

I love them both: this one for its colours and the other for its colour - for green is the colour of hope (so vital as you go into surgery)

Hello Linda: Going into surgery, but can't stay off the computer!!!! Well: GOOD LUCK AND SPEEDY RECOVERY!!!
I am having symphaty pains right now: my back gave out today (good thing I have a near full bottle of wodka on hand)!

I think you made the right choice in your main image dedicated to Silke. although I like both of them, I think this one is the stronger of the two. The lighting seems more flattering to me.

Good luck on your surgery. I am amazed that you thought about your friend's accomplishment when you are preparing yourself for such personal trials. You show the world admirable selflessness.
