Great composition and reflection. However the direct lighting has caused severe OE of the feathers and distal beak section with loss of feather details. The lack of EXIF data makes it harder to truly critique on technical issues but I am guessing you shot this in matrix metering mode and exposed the whole scene. I normally find you have to pull back atleast -1 EV comp in this mode to truly get the details of the feathers of the white birds and see my gallery if you want to see the settings I use. I think setting your ISO speed to 200 here with shutter speed of 1/320 sec and aperture of f/8-with spot metering or -1EV (Matrix mode) would have given you something more tweak-able. I find it always better to underexpose the feathers and adjust it later in pp or use your light meter and make sure it is dipping below -0.3 ~0.7 Ev to be safe. Try this next time and let me know. Good attempt though and you will get the hang of it after a while- remember to pay attention to the quality, direction and intensity of the light! This is the key. Good luck!
