A face-to-face with a butterfly is an experience that most people will never have encountered!

Excellent macro, Danilo. And, yes, can you avoid malathion? Are there no organic alternatives? (I know from experience they are much less effective if at all but still worth a try!)

Great head-on POV and personally I like the tattered wings: not all butterflys are perfect. Colours are rich and details sharp - great stuff!

Ang galing ng DOF at detalye dito Dan, pati bg at komposisyon ay panalo. Huwag kang maniniwala na walang blemish yung mga mangga ko, medyo nadaanan na ng cloning yung mga part na may batik ng itim :-). Hinog na yun, kulay dilaw sila, makikita mo sa sheen sa left na bumanda sa mangga kulay dilaw ang balat, yun talaga ang kulay nun, nadaig yata ng anino ng puno kaya naging yellow green. Masosobrahan sa liwanag kung sa labas ng puno ko kunan magiging OE lahat :-). Camouflage na tipaklong ang isusunod kong upload, nakatsamba ko kasi detalyado ang kuha :-) Til then mate.

I know Rabani is going to like seeing me like this. See how my tattered brown wings stand out with the glazed delicious green blur behind me. And how gloriously I'm up here with the pink gorgeous zinnia propping me as I'm about to flutter away. But alas with all my colors and happy demeanor, why is it farmers and growers have to treat us like terrorists and insurgents. Don't they know, I have a lot to do in pollinating their flowers and making them look good. Ah well, even if my life cycle is short, at least this part of my life lifting off has been captured very well for posterity.
