[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
They say it’s always good to get in close and personal with your subject…
I think this was a little too close…. As we were out shopping one afternoon, we saw a police horse trailer setting there in the parking lot… The Officers were in a local fast food restaurant have lunch so we took the opportunity to shoot a few pictures of the horses…
It was a nice but overcast day and I was using a wide-angle lens… None of the pictures came out very good so I forgot about them… But now that I’m leaning how to do these out of the picture type of framing, I thought this would be a nice one to play with…
Here again I did everything in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. Just trying to see what I can do here with some special effects…
In trying to give you the perception of the horse’s nose coming out of the picture here, I worked at sharpening just the nose, face and ears of the horse also giving these areas more contrast and saturation. Cropped, resized and added border for TrekLens.
Your comments and critiques are always welcome.

great work with photoshop, it's well done
a critique about the photo itself, the details are great in the bottom, but the eye is not right in the focus ring
but, that's good, great effort

Hi Denny,
I like the distorted wide-angle shot of this horses's face!
It's original, well lit and adorned with a great sky.
The off-frame emerging is a brilliant idea and fabulous presentation.
Great capture. Regards.

Hi Den,

Another great shot you must be working overtime on the pp work and you are winning. Great shot of the horse and I like the way the head comes out of the picture well done.

Jon

Hi Denny,
Missed this one when you posted - you have again done a fantastic job on the presentation and a great job with the sky - I am still trying to perfect my framing but you my friend ave it off to a fine art. TFS

Hi Denny,

I like the "out of the picture" framing (want to try it myself soon).
This and the cropping give me here exactly that impression of being veeeery close to the subject.
I've read somewhere that "there is no bad original" and disagreed with that. However with every learning step I see my photos with "new" eyes and maybe there is a truth there...

TFS and best wishes,
Attila
