For Mothers Day
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Sunday, May 10, 2009 is Mother's Day… A holiday devoted to motherhood and expressing thanks to mothers. In the United States it is observed on the second Sunday in May.
Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love.
- saying by Mildred B. Vermont
This lovely White Phalaenopsis Orchid, also called the Moth Orchid, blooms up to two full months, makes any occasion all the more lovelier.
Phalaenopsis is a genus of approximately 60 species of orchids (family Orchidaceae). The abbreviation in the horticultural trade is Phal. Phalaenopsis is one of the most popular orchids in the trade, through the development of many artificial hybrids.
Shot at McDonald Garden Center in their Green House, this was one of the best pictures of the day… We were using just available light with a black poster board for the background… Think I could have also used a white poster board in the fore ground to reflect some more light into the subject here…
Did very little PP here other then to correcting for brightness, contrast and saturation, resizing and making up the 3d border here for TrekLens.
Your comments and critiques are always welcome. |

Hi Denny
Very good gifts for Mother's Day
Please pay attention to the metering, the light is excessive here and you've made some over expose on the leaves, Also the point of focus is not to clear, you may use single spot mode for accurate focus.

I am a mother, so thanks for this pretty orchid arrangement. I like, also, the 3d border.
Lorena
