[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was a scanner test that I got carried away with I guess. No particular reason for using this leaf other than it spans about eight inches. I am always looking for new ways to do things and trying to combine methods for as smooth and polished a look as possible. This was scanned on a microteck scanner at 2000 dpi in tif format (approx. a 30 mb file). In PS7, I created 3 copy background layers, deleted the appropriate amount leaving the corners and applied levels, channel mixing and plastic wrap. The three corners were then blended knocking out the white. One more copy of the background way made, the leaf cut out, drop shadow applied and an all white bottom layer made for a new background. I then applied a drop shadow to each of the corners with minimal distance to help offset their selection.

This was a bit of a difrent Post process work Craig. I like it. :) It seems like different things has ben high lighted in the difrent frames. My favorite would be the upper left. The colours are really lovely there.

I like the effect here. The fact that the PP work is in the scanning makes it extremely unique. Great variety of texture and colors. Welcome.

I like the outcome of this work of yours very much.
I believe I would have taken a different approach in order to achieve the same result, by selecting each corner and using the "copy to new layer" command, treat each of those individualy and applying shadow only on the bottom layer with the full leaf.
TL need some more examples of this kind of work.

I like this effect very much. Very well done, and well expressed. The drop shadow is also well done and not an obvious PS extra. Good stuff.
