Wow! Impressive. I like the idea of keeping the fligth officer in color and the rest in B&W. I find the post-processing well executed. One question though, you are allowed to take pictures on Navy Ships? This doesn't fall into restricted info? I wasn`t under the impression it wouldn`t be as easy to take photos when you are in service. Seems like you were able to take a lot of photos, it`s cool. I'm an helicopter fan, do you have some photos of helicopters aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt? Thanks for sharing your experience. :o)
A beautiful image, Stacey, but I liked your first title better ;o). The PP work for the colours is excellent, and I particularly like the red on the propeller tips. TFS.
Great PP work, Stacey, but the question is I guess: Did it add anything? It seems to me that the original image must have been pretty impressive as it was, and the fact of making the flight officer stand out in color is more of a PP exercise than a point you're making with the photo. And as usual I ask you to post the original as workshop to let us appreciate the differences.

I agree with hojper I think you should have posted the original as a WS but I think the image here is still a strong image reguardless well composed and I think that by posting images that a lot of people will never see will help broaden peoples horizons so thank for posting this shot Stac

Wow! Excellent composition! Your "experiment" to mix b&w and color is fine!

Stacey,
I don't think pointers are in order. You nailed it on your first attempt. Great job on this one girl! Added to my military theme folder
God's best,
Tim
Very good shot here DOF, the movement is so well caught.
Mixed bw and color is clearly weldone. The yellows sustain the interest for this good composition.

A colour-picture which seems B/W and a B/W-picture which seems in colour...
I like the yellow, also the action of the plane, it's a great shot, Stacey !

Awesome!!! The props captured gives the anticipated prop rotation. Right on, I like this. Excelent details and focus.
Well done

Brilliant pic. All B&W except the flight officer make it look really nice and exceptional. The wings being in movement and all rest still - nice effect. :)
