[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken the same day as At Days End, just a little later. This is Jones (I didn't know her first name) she worked on the catapaults (the catapault is what she's standing on, they launch the planes...There were no flight ops in progress. This was the end of the day, don't worry. she was in no danger by standing here:)

Just another view of a sailor watching another beautiful sunset at the end of another really long work day.

You have capture very well a special moment Stacey. Those "hot" colors of the sunset are beautiful! Very nice photo!

as nice as the first one (a smaler preference for the first one)
Bravo
Tell me, the 'blur effect' we can see over the ocean, it's caused by the sun heat effect on the catapult area?

Once again a great shot Stacey. I really love the yellowish color. Peaceful shot, I can feel the warmth of the setting sun.

I like the composition and you have used a soft and beautiful colour.

This is really good, Stacey. We don't need the sun to appreciate the sunset, and we don't need to see a face to read the mind. And we certainly don't need colors or sharpness or lots of detail to classify a photo as a great one. This one is. It works. (I won't go into technical detail, but it really is a textbook study in the use of thirds)

Hello Stacey. This is a very nice moment... it has a very warm feeling... very very good capture.... nice composition. Thank you for sharing it.
Cathy

It's a very beautiful composition: 1/3 of sky, 1/3 of sea, 1/3 tarmac with the silhouette which occupies the 1/3 vertical. I like much the diagonal reflection of the sky on the flour in the foreground. Beautiful atmosphere of sunset. A look as Top Gun

You do so well with your camera...
A golden moment captured. You can almost tell from this picture how heavy her day has been, and how good it is to rest...

Une autre superbe photo de fin du jour. Les couleurs sont chaudes et l'atmosphère feutré invitant au calme.
Realy a good photo Stacey...
Bye...
Gisèle

Is this you on this picture...?

ok i think i missed this one of yours
this has a much stronger impact than the one you just posed on te
infact even this one doesnt make me really feel like we're on a ship right now, except the surface that she's standing on is a slight give away. this is amore moody shot than its te counterpart.
the composition is very nice here and the mirage effect works really well too.
take care :)

Hi Stacey, beside the unusual subject and technical qualities (good framing/compo, warm tones), what I like in this shot is that we can *feel* the sensations of this soldier, she's quietly looking at the immense sea while she's standing on the most powerful war machine of the world
