[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another side of the U.S. Navy that people don't see too often...

These Sailors were exercising (or as we call it "PT" = Physical Training) in the hangar bay aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt. The bay doors were open, which creates this wonderful natural lighting. We were nearly half way through with the 6 1/2 month deployment. This photo was taken on Christmas Eve 2001. I thought it was funny that the one and only guy looking at me, has his mouth open (counting aloud),barely blurred from motion, and looks like he is floating in mid air.

I turned it B&W using PS7 because it looked too "busy" in color and it was hard to focus on any one object. It's still a little busy, but I like it. I also added a little contrast with Curves.

I like that the only guy in focus he looks pretty tired. I remember guys doing this in the hangerbay underway thanks for sharing this shot love the blur on this timed exposure everyone looks to busy doing there aerobics..
