Saint Paul's Episcopal Church
201 St. Paul’s Blvd., Norfolk, VA
Saint Paul's Episcopal Church is also known as Borough Church and it is the oldest building in Norfolk, this church is also the only structure to survive the British destruction of the city on New Year's Day 1776 when a cannon ball was fired by Lord Dunmore of the British fleet and remains lodged in its southeastern wall. The church's tree-lined cemetery is dotted with 17th, 18th, and 19th century tombstones.
It has a very colorful history that run through out Colonial period, Revolutionary War and the Civil War. To read more about the history of this church go on the web to this site;

This was shot on a very cloudy day last June as we were walking around down town Norfolk. Made an insert here to show the cannon ball in the wall there… also a little hand below it pointing to where the cannon ball is on the build.
Did a little Post processed with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 to correct the perspective from distortion, sharpened, enhanced brightness and contrast. Cropped, resized and added border for TrekLens. Your comments and critiques are as always welcome. |

Hi Den,
This is a nice building the same red brick as the last one so building materials probably came from the same place. Good composition the pov could be further back imho but is is a lovely shot well done.
