| On my photo walk at Arlington National Cemetery with Danilo Martinez last Saturday we approached the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This woman was sitting there at the entrance with her head bowed, very thoughtful. |

WOW! What an amazingly emotional shot Michael! I love how you did this! With the flag in the archway it speaks volumns. She may have been a war vet, or the wife of one! Beautiful work!

Hi Michael
I really think this is special...
Most may think to get the flag under the arch.. but the the lady in her wheelchair and what this place symbolized.... really nice...
I think you really lucked out with the sky as well.. it adds to the mood of the shot! IMO a bright blue sky would not feel as strong...
I do love the look for the little bit of chang leaves on the stone...
congratulations...

Hi Michael,
Regardless of the good or bad technical aspects of a photo, one that evokes strong emotions such as this makes it an exceptional shot. The upward POV is excellent and capturing both the woman and flag really gives one pause.
Best regards,
Werner
