I am feeling very melancholy today. With no good reason I can figure. So this shot pretty much suited my mood. Taken in my hometown at a local cemetery that's one of the oldest in the area. It was cloudy and so quiet. Strangely enough, though, there were people walking there, picnicking, reading. It really is a lovely place and very serene. I had to do a lot of PP because the shot was very dark and I was shooting into the sun. I don't know if it's a good quality shot, but like I say. It suits my mood.

Hi, Shelly. We all go through these phases. Agree it is a serene scene but it is reality and I do like the perspective as the graveyard stones become smaller as they recede into the distance. Cheers and TFS.

My first thought was "Oh my! That's near my husband's mother's house!"...then I remembered you weren't in Pennsylvania! I like the "valley" with the road sweeping through! Nice pp work on this Shelly! Really adds drama! Snap outta dat mood.... Life is good!

Hi Shelly,
Nice capture, the dark tones and silhouettes really portray the mood here. The rich greens give a strong sense of vibrancy to this dead looking place (no pun intended, lol). I like the long bendy path, sort of resembles the path of life, and how life continues after death (yes, I'm in a strange mood today, haha). Looks like a good quality shot to me, and I applaud you for doing such a fine job when shooting against the sun.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Shelly,
this really is a nice work! This is a place where our mood can be transformed. Your pp work shows a wonderful and controlled combination of light and shadow. I like the long road that goes through the cemetery. Hope, the melancholy is over by now. Have a nice day.
My regards, abhijit.

Looks like HDR photo - see the brighter shadows around the trees' silhouettes and grayed sky. I never got such result shooting into the sun. Btw., how come the shadows point to the right left if the shot was done into the sun...?
