Fantastic Shelly! Love the soft natural light, love her cute little expression and the way she's biting her bottom lip. She's got beautiful eyes and eye lashes .. nice shine in her eyes.

DANG!! You get an award for this Shelly!! One of the BEST portraits I've seen in a long time! Her eyes just pop in this! The soft light, with the darker edges are enchanting! Chewing my leg off...wishin I had taken this photo! Sharp as a tack! Dang girl, you got it!

What a beautiful capture of your first cousin's granddaughter, Shelly. She looks a little darling. And I like how her eyes are so bright and sharp. Very well taken

Very nice use of the prime lens - and good control of the shallow field of focus, which can be problematic. Probably should've used a slightly smaller aperture, maybe f/4.0, you'd still get a blurred background but her face would also be sharp in its entirety. Here, her left eye (our right) is already slightly blurred, as is her left cheek.
A delightful shot, those catchlights are indeed excellent!

She's adorable and I love her expression. The catchlights in her eyes really enhance the portrait and the lighting is excellent. I would love to be able to compose a portrait like this, really nice work.

Simply amazing portrait using every drop of talent and available light with probably one of my favourite lenses for portraits. I don't own one yet but this is making me think again. Anyway lovely little angel and your photo brings her truly into the light.
