Aw, this is really great Shelly! What a treasure to still have your mom at age 80 ... many are not so fortunate. (I still have both parents too .. ages 94 and 89!!!)
She looks thrilled to be having this celebration .. surrounded by her loved ones. Great to get this shot with your cousin - nice eye contact from both.
There seems to be a slight greenish cast to their skin .. is that just my monitor?

I can tell you're her daughter! Just like my mom and I, twins. Very nice photo of her, she's lovely, and it's a very nice shot as well.

Oh now, I would love to meet this woman! What a GRAND shot Shelly! Sharp as it can be, superb DOF on this! I really had it in my mind that this was her BOYFRIEND! AHAHA!...I was thinking "DANG GIRL!!"....hahaha!

Nice sharp photo, great use of DOF to isolate your subjects..... I like the diffused light too.. She'll be pleased with this one!!

Shelly, as a Virgo myself, I sincerely hope I live to 80 and more! Your mother looks so alive. She will make it to 100, no doubt! Great portrait of her. Personally I would like to see one of her by herself. I'm sure you have many in your archives. Thanks for sharing this wonderful moment in time!
