Sawyer Glacier looms at the end of Tracy Arm with ice flows littering the blue-green water. Tracy Arm is a spectacular fjord running about 30 miles inland south of Juneau, Alaska.

Must have vbeen an incredible experience Jim. We have friends in Ottawa who did the cruise also. They remarked on the stillness (if I remember correctly they were instructed to be quiet) The diagonals make a strong composition and lead the eye to the glacier. I love the blue ice. Looks great. Thanks for showing (TFS)
warm regards
David

Hi Jim
You have a good entry into the frame with the glacier being centered, its hard to do the glaciers justice the way we would like to. The sun not always co operating but you managed the shot well.

I was fortunate to visit Alaska as a member of the airstream caravan, and while in Valdez I did take the cruise to go see one of the glaciers.

What a sight, with all the seals and otters swimming around. We waited for it to calve but no luck, still to this day I will never forget my experience. The boat looking so small next to these monsters.
