[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was late one afternoon after a spring rain shower on the desert near Sedona Arizona. I was intrigued by the red and purple colors displayed in the rocks. This post has very slight contrast and color stabilization and resizing for posting.

O have always been ingrigued with the desert, having spent a number of years in Arizona. I love to return there and abandon my cares in the sand and sun.

Thanks for looking and all comments are appreciated.

Hi John,
Nice scenic shot. I like the color and the wideness of it. I'm not sure about the tree, though...seems to distract, in my opinion. But at the same time, it's good to have something in the foreground when the background details are so small. So, it's a coin toss...Still, it's a good shot with nice color and interesting subject matter.
Well done.
Richard

Great little picture, to bad it not just a bit bigger
I love the bluish purplish back ground mountains, and the tree is perfect.
Bravo

I seem to remember being in that same spot on the same day! I even have a shot that looks a lot like it. Great post I am ready to go back to Sedona. Did you use Thumbs to edit this one?

Well, John this is very beautiful. I like the way you utilized the old tree in the foreground. I love the misty horizon and the effect of the clouds in the sky. I agree with Joe that a photo this lovely would be even more lovely with a larger format....if you need any advice on that subject, contact me. LOL You know me, always ready to help, whether I am capable or not.....Great post, John!...:O)
