[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am on an architectural kick these days. Memories of being a landscape architect some years ago, I suppose.
This shot of course is the face of the Catholic Chapel in Sedona, Arizona, which I posted earlier.The engineering for this building is as astute as is the design. Original designs like this call for complicated as well as expensive engineering. Part of the upright supports for the building are literally placed in between the boulders in the front, and form the long arm of the cross. I salute both the architectural and engineering firms.
The blue glass wall-well, that is a bonus.

I really needed a polarizing filter for this shot. It was somewhere around high noon and hot,hot.
Hard to do the rule of thirds here.

Hi Joni.
Making photograph of an architecture is as challenging as building it when come to the pleasure of seeing the result of our work.

This is something that composed a great combo of natural beauty and man made beautiful architecture. Love to see the details of textures on the boulders contrasting the boxy shape of the buildings. Blue sky... that is an icing on a cake.

Excellent composition indeed.

Hello Joni,a great Pov for this shot of the chapel.I love the royal blue set against the blue sky,and the red of the rocks.
If I hadn't seen your other shots of this place,I would be wondering where the door is!
How imaginative of the architect to create this building and put it here.

Interesting idea re erotica from Joris. I would imagine that it is more likely that such an idea was unintentional. As Freud is reputed to have said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. The architect and congregartion would prpobably be devasted to think such thoughts could be associated with their holy place of worship.
That aside, does such a setting make the church interior any cooler? Nice pov and colours. TFS
