I apologize haven't posted in a while as I have been busy beyond belief. Anyway this is my first attempt in a while. This was shot in the desert outside of Phoenix - what little desert is left and not suburbia that is - when I was attending yet another seminar. It was a long exposure. I didn't have my tripod handy so I had to set the camera on remote and use the car and my camera bag as a base.
PP: Changed contrast in Capture One to make the moon appear grossly overexposed and almost like a comet. I then separated the sky from the foreground using Mask Pro to select. I applied Flood for the small amount of water at the bottom and constellation for the stars both from Flaming Pear. |

Good to see you again, Tim, as you are right it has been a long while. Very interesting picture you are presenting. A nice composition and a very interesting treatment giving an almost surreal effect. The stars could also pass for snow falling it was not in the desert. Well done and I hope that you will be less busy now!
Hi Tim...
A starry starry night and you capture some dreamlike mood here!
The blues of the desert night with nice silhouettes make up a pleasant composition... Nice all together!
Regards,
Pablo -
