[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Town Lake is an artifically-created lake in the Phoenix area. There used to be an actual river running through this area, one that went all the way to the Pacific. In the 20th century, dams were built, drying up the river. The lake is an effort to beautify the city (though the standing water can create a haven for mosquitoes).

Picture taken at sunset. Watercolor & hot-wax effects added. Color balance, contrast and saturation then adjusted.

Cool effect Josh...I never have the guts to do any heavy PP like this but I like it. Your horizon is tilted just a touch; otherwise great.

Very interesting work, first of which I've seen. It's very nice. It looks almost cartoon-ish, an artificial effect for an artifical lake, right? Also great note, full of info.
