[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The courthouse was built in 1882 at a cost of nearly $50,000. But when the county seat moved from Tombstone to Bisbee in 1929, the grand old building faced an uncertain future. The building stood vacant until 1955, when the Tombstone Restoration Commission acquired it. It opened as a state park in 1959.

Critiques [Translate]

Clean, crisp lines and I like having the back of the chair front and left as a leading focal point.

Two things bother me slightly, so i'll get them out the way first. The top edge of what looks like a bucket creeping into the front of the frame - I can't decide if that adds interest and breaks up the scene, or if it is a distraction. So I'm bothered that I can't decide! Secondly...the nasty red exit sign seems so out of place with the rest of the image.

Those niggles aside, the POV is good as mentioned, there is a clean sharpness throughout the pic and you have captured the different tones of wood very nicely. Lots of little points of interest make the picture attractive without being cluttered - the open book, the Stars and Stripes, pictures on the wall etc. A good feeling of history here - aside from that bloody red sign :-)

Excellent sharpness and metering, great detail here Dean! That worn chair in the foreground is a great touch. Such a sense of realness in the quality of your shot!
Outstanding work ... though Richard has a point about the rubbish bin (?) and exit sign ...

Hi Dean,
Nice shot, great POV and the different colour shades and the sharpness are good, I have to agree about the sign above the door, I would maybe have cloned it out but other than that a great shot.
