I So Agree

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had to interrupt the stream of India pictures for this picture.
Earlier this week I went hiking for the first time in Pima Canyon, which is located north of Tucson. I'm rather ashamed to say that I've lived in Tucson for 10 years and had never been on this trail before, but there you have it. The scenery on the trail was absolutely gorgeous, except for the giant mansions being built by the trail.
As you may be able to read from the sign, there is a population of wild sheep in the area that are declining. Apparently, I wasn't the only one to see the connection between the declining population and the construction of the mega-houses near the trail. I'm not too naive to think that the large number of hikers who frequent the trail don't affect the population, but the jackhammers and other noise certainly don't help!
I also realize that it's a bit hard to see the giant 5000+ square foot monstrosity from behind the tree, and that the photograph could be better, but I felt I just had to share the sentiment that someone added to the forest service poster.
Thanks for your comments,

This is a situation that prevails almost everywhere ... more specially so in India. Almost all species of wild life is on the way to becoming extinct because of human cupidity.
Well seen, Denise. Good composition and nice juxtiposition of the 2 subjects.
The herd isn't declining, it is gone. There hasn't been a bighorn spotted on Pusch Ridge for over 10-15 years now. They think they all moved to the Silverbells, west of Marana.
