[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was visiting Payson, Arizona which is north of Phoenix, in the mountains, and home of the Mogollan Ridge. The author Tony Hillerman often bases his mystery novels around the Mogollan Ridge area.
Payson is cooler than Phoenix and is a favourite weekend spot to come and cool off. The valley below really is a furnace!
The roses were in full bloom when I was there and just bursting with colour and verve. The sun is really intense by 7 am in the morning so makes it harder to control light management.

Good light enhancing, and the dark background a plus.

I like all the sunlight, red is very brillant. Good clarity and you caught the bee, I bet the smell was wonderful. TFS.

Yes, a real explosion of roses and and bright colors. The image is razor sharp. I love the way you cropped for a full frame effect. You were not alone to find the flowers, that little bee to the left fount them too.

Hi Joni,
This shot is so full of life...vibrant colours. Nicely composed too wiht the flowers filling in the entire frame. It must have been a tough shot, I often have then problem of over exposure with flower photos. But this is wonderful!

Hello Joni,I love the glow of these beautiful red roses, the sun has really shown their true colours.I like also the way that the flowers totally fill the frame.
