[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Thought I would visit the archives and post this of a lady we met last year. We were lucky enough to visit Phoenix, Arizona for a few days and as my wife likes horse riding we couldn't resist going out on a treck.

We took a small treck as the weather conditions were to hot for the horses to do too much work but we managed to get out before the heat topped 100 degrees.

PP Work, cloned out telephone wires and pard of the flag that was creeping into shot, darkened and increased saturation, selected the shadow part under the hat, including face and adjusted brightness back up to bring out the features a bit more - resized for TL.

Hope you like it

hi Bri nice portrait very sharp good pp work brought out the details and colours well tfs
regards bryan

Hi Brian,
A nice portrait, but it really can be improved in my opinion. The colours of the face of the lady looks over saturated. and the whole image appears a bit to bright to me. Nonetheless the pose is priceless, the horse and lady look like really friends! The bar on the lower left side could have been removed with the clone tool easily. Still a nice posting!

Hi Brian
A strong portrait of this duo. Excellent DOF and I don't agree with GreenBaron regarding the over saturation. She is in shadow with some light filtering through her hat. I assume she is Miss Kitty or is that the name of the horse?

Hi Bri,

I like this not sure what the GreenBaron means as I think as Dyerco the lady is in the shadow. The horse looks very interested in what's going on the colours are good imho and the details are nice and sharp very good pov well done.

Hi Bri,
A less darker saturation colours, but interesting atmosphere in her shot, I likes the result against the light.
Regards.

Hi Brian..nice portrait of this lady and horse....nice light and details..well done.

Ha! Not easy to get a connection to the camera from an animal, much less to time it so that it coincides with an equally strong connection from a human.

IMO this shot works well - composition and framing are good, light - especially the reflected light coming up under the hat (very important here) and poses of both subjects.
