[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This snowy egret watched me take photos of it today at a nearby bird sanctuary. It was interesting to get a good view of his yellow feet and the fluff of his plumage as he waited on the rock, ready to grab something tasty out of the shallow water surrounding him.

PP: none, other than resizing, simple border, and a final sharpening tweek.

Excellent,Beautiful Photography.Light abd composition are superb.

very very nice shot...sharpness, colours..well done...tfs :-)

Oh, Wow! Nice composition, contrats between surrounding and the subjet serve very well the subject. Backlighting has been my favorite for longtime. Volume of the subject is very good. Would a F8 aperture sufficient for sharp bird and blur background? Maybe...
Still i would be prould of this shot

Hello Karen

this is excellent shot of great white bird. sharpness colors especially white tone of bird and bright dark color of background, but would consider cropping: below is to sparse place.

Wow Karen, this is a razor sharp bird portrait ;o). Colours are nice too, even in this backlight which is not easy to achieve. Nice "backdrop" as well. One nit-pick: you cut off one of its nails.
Anyway, a beauty!

Hi Karen,
Excellent shot, great composition and colours, very good details. Congratulations.
Best wishes,

Karen,
THIS is an image I can sink my teeth into. Good sharpness, vibrant colors and it looks like you might have used a polarizer because I can see into the water real well here.
There is a hint of OE on the top of the bird but it's VERY minor. The f/22 allowed for nice detail. Overall, a very good image.
Good work,
Scott

How I'd love going bird-watching with you!:)

Are these birds in the S.F. Zoo? How are the tigers, by the way? :))

Very sharp and very detailed photo.
The background let him speak out more

This close-up turned out pretty good. The full body is visible against a nice dark background. Well captured.
