Egret in B&W
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I had a few extra shots of this egret so decided I could afford to try a b&w look. Haven't conquered overexposing those bright whites yet!
PP: desaturated, resized, sharpened, added border.

Great way to go with the B/W conversion Karen,
It feels right. The scene has a whole new mood to it.
Great placement of the Egret on the right side too.
I love just trying B/W conversions on almost any shot just to see how the mood changes...
Well done!

Yea, he is a bit OE in the neck and body - he does provide nice contrast against the dark vegetation. Nice reflections. Maybe spot metering would help?

Hola Karen,
Me gusta la imagen que has subido con esos tonos en B/N le da mucho fuerza a esta gran fotografía !!!
Saludos,

Hi Karen;
This is a nicely composed photo with a super reflection in the water and the light is wonderful except for .... yes the burnt out area of white on the egret. I find that when I snap snow an EOV in the negative works for me and gives me a better DOF...IMHO .... thanks Karen for this one.....Roman:0)
