Yellow Blossom 2
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a more tightly cropped version of the yellow flower ( 1st post ) that I used for practice with my new macro lens. I took several identical shots because I wasn't sure about what I was doing, so in this post I used one of the extras to crop even further with Photoshop CS3 (also new!) and dress it up a bit, just for a different interpretation.
PP: cropped for enlarged view of the flower center, resized, sharpened, added frame. |

Hi Karen,
Nice crop.. but need more light on centre..
I like it

Wonderful detail shot Karen,
However, I like the first version better only because
it didn't have such a central focal point in the frame?
What also troubles me about this one, is the shadow
cutting across the central point, it works against you here
becuase the crop is designed to make you look in the middle.
Hope that makes sense. I love that you are
exploring macro territory, and a whole wonderful world awaits you!
On the plus side, the color and detail is of course amazing,
you have a great lens there!

Hi Karen,
What a beautiful macro shot....
Nice colours and good lightining. TFs.

Tend to agree with Vincent here Karen it may be too central although the details are excellent proving the efficiency of your new macro lens and that'a a good start obviously ! Hours of pleasurable shooting lie ahead for you ,it's unlimited indeed! Go out and shoot and let us see what you can do with these lenses,
TFS,
Carol
Hi Karen:
This is a gorgeous bright sunburst of the center of the flower, the focus is razor sharp and light perfect. I like the tight crop with just a bit of the petals showing to create an explosive energy in this photo... from a flower yet:))))..... thanks karen:0)...........Roman.
Hi Karen,
I agree with Vincent, the shadow from the one flower petal is a bit distracting. The detail and sharpness is very good. Nice macro :)
