[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The urge to do something artsy is always with me, so here we go...an abstract made from a close-up shot of a bright yellow blossom in my garden. I didn't care for the composition results in the original, making it a prime candicate for experiments using my new Photoshop CS3 and a plug-in called Harry's Filters.

PP: created enlarged shadow effect with plug-in filter, applied gradient layer/difference for color effect, added poster edges, resized, added border and stroke lines.

This is certainly artsy I like the abstract colour work here and a kind of energy coming from the composition all coming from the flower petals ...... I like photos that communicate moods and feelings very much.... Thanks Karen......Roman:0)

Hello Karen,I like the effect that you have created.I especially like the centre where there is a good pattern.The colours are interesting.The framing complements the picture very well.

Very eyecatcing result Karen, nice colours, textures and lines.

I could image this in a huge print on the wall..good work..well done.

Creative experiment Karen with wonderful results!
I think this would look great with a more subdued frame, to
let the artwork really pop, but you know that's just me and frames :)

I love it. Figurative Abstract . Very artistic. Yellow on green gives a radiant effect, outshining the green. Since green is a mixture of yellow and blue, the yellow is among friends. It is vigorous and sharp. TFS
