[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a walk near along the bay, I saw this hawk hunting the lazy way:) He was busy eating something when I passed him again on my return, so apparently there had been good reason to stand there watching so intently.

The original shot was a bit bland and I wanted the hawk to stand out more. Not sure I like this version any better, but here it is anyway...for the Flight theme:) I'll post the original in a workshop.

PP: omni light filter, resized, sharpened, added border.

I love the vignette effect here Karen,
gives this shot such a regal look,
the bird is beautiful and I like the unique take on the theme entry.
Well done.

hi super-girl! what a beauty of a bird and nice ambiance. love it. Janos

Hi Karen;
Interesting vignette idea around the hawk, I like the way of cropping the canvass here without trying to enlarge the subject to the full screen... I will have to keep this technique in mind..... nicely composed and exposed ....... thanks Karen.....Roman:0)

Great shot of the hawk but i feel the frame is a little close to the bird
Regards Codge

I really like the darkness who creates a mystic atmosphere around the hawk. You don't know what he sees and you don't know his next move. This photo is more expressive than the posted in the workshop
Great PP work on this.

Hello Karen

Superb shot here, nice sharpness and detail. the diffused lighting workd perfectly to highlight and bring attention to this beautiful bird.

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen

Hi Karen
Your framing gives the impression of looking through a telescope. Nice way to kick up the interest on Mr. Hawk and participate in the theme. Enjoy Easter weekend.

Been away for a few days and I'm catching up.

dan

Wow! Surrounding the hawk with the soft focus really emphasizes his intense aspect, along with such a close up shot.

richard
