I was waiting for a swallow tail butterfly to come back to this flower in my garden recently, but alas it must have been camera shy and knew what I was up to. So here is a picture of just the flower...you'll have to imagine the butterfly:)

Superb quality capture of this lovely flower Karen.
I like how they come into frame from the upper right.
Excellent focus. Vibrant and yet natural color.
Really nice one.
- Vincent

Beautiful colors and excellent detail in these Lilies. The image is very sharp and clear. The vivid purple looks great against the green blurred BG. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

I love the shade of purple. Beautiful macro and composition. I like the placement of the flowers and them facing downward.

Hello Karen, is this a close up of an agapanthus?
The butterfly would have been superfluous, the flower stands in its own right.
I like the way that it almost fills the screen.
Lovely colour and sharp detail.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi karen,
Great focus on the middle flowers. I like the clairty and violet color in the flowers. butterfly's never come where or when you want them too, even if you chase them :)
well done,
Shelby

good image even without the butterfly, but that would have been a bonus. the inevitability we call it sods law here in the uk.

Best regards!

Hi Karith,
Properly composed, nice use of dof, details are clear, plus the colorful bg and flowers, made this picture gorgeous. Excellent work here.

Hi Karen
Beauftiful picture with amazing flowers.
regards

Hi Karen,

beautiful take. Looks like pastepl picture rather than the photo. I like the kinda diagonal placement of these flowers - it adds dynamics to the photo and more impact on the viewer. Wise use of shallow DOF adds the 2d feeling. tfs

Beautiful picture - the use of sharp focus and oof petals in this composition works really effectively.
Colours are good mixture of pastel and vibrant.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
