Well, this is the closest I got to "fire" for this week's theme. At least it won't leave any ashes:)

PP: distorted in PS, resized, added border.

Hello Karen
Nice clean fire abstract shot! I keep looking at the lines and trying to figure out what it was before you distorted it!;)

I do like the blend of colors and shapes

Tricia

Lovely work, very original and well executed...fine image indeed..regards h and TFS

No ashes is a very good thing. Would have liked to know how you did this - or what is/was - your experiments are always interesting.

Hi Karen

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen

A good experimental work in post processing. What was the object shot? I like the strong play of shadows and lights. Very graphic, beautiful !

Hello Karen,
This IS a powerful form of abstraction: it does'nt have the look of flames anymore, but it still irresistibly evokes fire and warmth. In orther words: very suggestive HPP. You carried out big changes to the original photo (I suppose), but without altering its "spirit".
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
