[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the photographic rules I quickly learned posting on TL was that it was REALLY good to include three flowers or three leaves in a macro shot. Well, here I have three photographers clustered at the bridge over Bishop Creek getting that perfect angle of water and aspens.
On this paricular morning we were initially alone at the bridge, getting the perfect image. But in just a few minutes the other photogragers arrived - this is a popular spot. After I finished my series I backed up with my camera and tripod to fire off this image. Even from the rear you can see their concentration.

I have been unable to find time to do much critiquing the last two days. Our two grandchildren and our daughter from Bakersfield have been visiting. So thanks for your visits and I'll catch up the first of the week.

Well, I can't say that I like seeing my behind on display but I knew this shot would be posted at some point! Nice job. Please don't post any more though. :)

hi dan, neat shot, amazing clarity, yes they look like they are deep in concentration, nice shot and happy Sunday!

Haha ... nice application of the "three" rule. Three photographers peering over a bridge.

Good composition and balance, great management of the light - particuarly with such a small aperture and slow shutter! Is there any reason you chose those settings, when perhaps a wider aperture and shallower DOF may have been appropriate?

Hehe...you couldn't have posed the three photogs better if you had planned it:) Love their lines and heights and the way their body language shows their intense involvement with their task. Their clothing and the white railing also contrast well against the natural backdrop and texture of the golden trees. Crips and clear, interesting, well done!

This is the capture time. Very nice capture. good light. You can see "The capture Time" on my page.

hi Daniel

Reflecting on how we behave when we are shooting. The fun part of shooting is really the concentration when we totally ignore what time of day and where we are.

When you are short of the element of 3, I suppose you just have to make do with '2 and half'? But the 3 is really interesting number for photography, in that it creates a crowd.

You chose good texture of the road and the bridge rail for this capture, it gives nice contrast to the autumn colors.

tfs, bill
