Combine the colors of the aspen and the morning sun and you have a beautiful golden image. Mother nature touches these leaves with a brush dipped in the golden paints from her fall pallet then mix in the warming tones of the morning sun and wow!!!!!!

I captured this image the first Sunday morning of October near Bishop Creek west of Bishop, California.

Hello Daniel,

It is interesting to observe how different people have responded to the subject of autumn.
I like this close-up approach.
The leaves are fine for texture, colour and shape. The twig is perfectly placed within the frame and feels almost 'artie'.

I've got a lot of catching up to do! This sunny pumpkin color is rich and luscious, great for the sense of fall and nature's exciting color schemes. Excellent DOF and details, with just the right amount of contrasts. Well done:)

Hi Dan,

Although I love your autumn views/landscapes, I do prefer a macro like this it has all the elements that make autumn so attractive and it all can be found in one little leaf, the beautiful light, the deep colours, I sure am enjoying autumn.
